  • Excellent presentation. Also, looking forward to the book.

  • Another great one Scott. Nice and simple at first - but building up to a triple layer chocolate cake in the end. :-)

Cool presentation, really interesting the mobile part :)

  • OK, you said no presentation slides but you didn't say anything about the code? I'd like to have a look at some of the things in there and poke around for myself. Any possibility of zipping up the code--even if half baked and sharing it out?

  • never mind, should have waited till the end =)

    Great presentation Scott.

  • This is off-topic, but what in the world does "This session recoding as made possible by Microsoft Internet Explorer 8" mean? It's right under the video, on the right.

  • Thanks Scott, been following MVC since Gu at the alt.net Conf in Oct 2007. Just shipped first production asp.net mvc app last week(Replaced classic ASP Acct Receivables system). Tell the team great job and thanks.

Scott is by far the best presenter I have ever seen. Great presentation with built in laughs. Well done Scott!

  • Great presentation. Nice companion to the PDF and source code for learning MVC.

  • Loved this one too. Scott always have something interested for developers.

    @Scott. Nice presentation.

  • Very cool!

Why Turtoise SVN?, what about TFS Client?, ... oh ya to complicated to install :)

Awesome session Scott. Can't wait to have some time to muck around a bit more more with MVC. The mobile stuff was especially a nice surprise. Kudos for a great presentation!

    Tough crowd, though ;-)

Googled "Scott" and you are actually 6th.

  • Fantastic video. Just wondering how much overhead all this new built-in cool features adds.

  • I'm having a lot of trouble watching this, from the very begining the sound is really out of sync with the video.

He's talking about expectations, and then as he moves onto another topic, I see him type "expectations" and do the jazz hands long after he's talked about them.

(I've got the latest Silverlight and its the same with IE7 and FF3.)

I really want to watch this, but I just can't without going totally crazy. Does anyone have any ideas please?

    Thanks, Bill.

  • Quote "I'm using L2S cause it's awesome and it's not dead and you should be excited about that." starting at 6:45. Awesome.

  • @Bill P. Godfrey

Not sure why it's not working for you, but you can also download the video in different formats and play them in your favorite player. Give that a try.

  • Awesome presentation.. cut right to the code and made me laugh a bunch of times. When MVC was first previewed, I looked at it like, "This is just going to be a pain to develop with -- it's adding complexity & rules to my simple web apps" and it took until now to discover what MVC is all about and discovered that what I thought originally was just not accurate. Your presentation will show anyone who watches it how great MVC is and how it's very simple and logical to use.

I definitely see MVC as the future of how web apps should be developed. One immediate win is how easy it makes using jQuery to make AJAX calls over traditional web apps. It presents a logical structure to your project files, and instead of calling some data web service through AJAX, you can hit a controller file that's specific to the type of data you're working with. Great presentation, keep it up.
