Design Fundamentals for Developers

Saturday, March 21, 2009
From colors to wireframes, this workshop introduces you to the fundamental principles and techniques of application design. The workshop is tuned especially for people who have some background in coding. If you are a developer who is working more frequently with designers, evolving to become a designer yourself, or simply a manager who needs to make sure that both roles work smoothly together, this session is an invaluable opportunity to jump-start the process.

The audio ist completly out of sync. Can you please fix that!?

  • Can you also upload a High Quality version of the WMV? Also, can you include a link to this page from the "Sessions" page? I did not know that it existed until I modified the URL from the other video links to match the ID of this session. Thanks.

  • Any ideas on when the fixed version of the videos will be up? I guess all workshop videos are bad in terms of audio sync.

It seems to be fixed now, but FYI, the VLC media player (open source) allows you to adjust audio timing forward or backwards as you play so you can still watch bad encoding.

Why does the silverlight suck so much. If you use the scrubber, the video never comes back to life, nor does it come back if you pause. This is awful.

  • Works great for me.

I think that Retro designs will occupy it's place someday and guess what? it grabs more attention these days whether it be a brochure, an advertisement, or even entire website.

    Thank you for the Video.
